VH1 Save the Music Concert

January 27th and 28th - Tamanend Chorus Alumni Info.

The General Idea...

Chieftain Chorus always sings for the Finale of the VH1 Save the Music Concert, on Friday and Saturday night. Tamanend Alumni are welcome to join one or both nights.

Rehearsal / Music

If you are able, join us for rehearsal Monday the 23rd from 2:45-4:00pm

If not, you may teach yourself from the sheet music, on my Chieftain page: http://www.cbsd.org/Page/8380

Report Times / Concert Length

Alums should report to Holicong Middle School (band room) at 6:00pm on Friday, January 27th and/or Saturday, January 28th. We will organize and rehearse before the concert starts at 7:30. Current Chieftains and Holicong/East kids will be there as well.

The concerts should be about 2 hours long

This Year's Concert Theme/ What Are Chieftains and Alums Singing?

This year's theme is "Dynamic Duos" (famous pairs - from great songwriting teams, to musical husband-wife acts, to classic rock partners, to TV icons, to the biggest duos in contemporary music). Songs for Chieftains are from famous songwriting pairs: "Your Song," (Elton John/Bernie Taupin), "Good Vibrations" (Brian Wilson/Mike Love), "What the World Needs Now" (Burt Bacharach/Hal David), and "With a Little Help From My Friends" (John Lennon/Paul McCartney).

Concert Attire

All student performers should wear blue jeans (pants, not shorts)

For your shirt, either:

1) Purchase an official concert t-shirt at the concert for $20.

3) Wear a shirt (solid color if possible) the same color as the concert shirt (Kelly Green, Black, Bright Red, or Royal Blue)

Do Alums Need Tickets to Attend and/or Perform in the Concert?

Quite frankly, because this is a benefit concert, we want your money. Can't be any more direct than that...

Please pre-purchase tickets online if possible: http://www.cbsd.org/Page/31802.

Online ticketing stops 6 hours before each concert. If there are seats left after that, there will be tickets available at the door.

If you cannot attend an evening concert to sing with us, how about coming to the Saturday afternoon show just to watch?
