Thank You
Last year we collected 515 cans for our canned food drive. This year we collected over 1030 cans for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets!!! Thank you for your participation and helping us help local families this holiday season!
We also had our Nickels for NOOK campaign going on the last few weeks and the students brought in a lot of change to donate to our NOOK! We are so appreciative of the generosity of our families! Thank you for all your help!
A big thank you to our PTO
Jonghoon Song, Giovanella Millan, Tessa Ripley, Sherry Prescott, Suja Sakthivel Parameswaran, and all parents for sending in items and goodies for that day! We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and we enjoyed every minute of our lunch!

Be Nice Ambassadors
Each teacher nominated a Be Nice Ambassador to represent their class throughout the school year. Mrs. Baugh drew the Be Nice Ambassador for each grade level on morning announcements. Their first mission was to join the 4th graders in Veteran's Day Parade on November 11th. We were very proud of each one of them! They did a wonderful job representing JES!

JES House Update
Notes From Nurse Fisher
Flu Season has arrived! The CDC reports that the number of confirmed flu cases are increasing. It is not too late to get the flu vaccine! JES staff and student flu vaccine clinics have been completed, but your student can receive the vaccine from their physician or at the Williamson County Health Department located at 1324 Main Street in Franklin. You can call 615-794-1542 to schedule an appointment. Students who are established patients at Mercy Clinic can visit their flu vaccine clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 pm-4:30 pm with no appointment necessary. Please help us to keep our schools safe and healthy by making sure your child is free of vomiting, diarrhea and/or fever (without the use of fever-reducing medication) for a full 24 hours before returning to school after an illness. If you are unsure if your child is well enough to attend school contact Nurse Fisher or drop by the clinic with your student prior to them going to class. At school we will continue to monitor students for signs of illness, practice good hand washing, remind students to “catch” their coughs and sneezes in their elbow and be diligent in cleaning frequently touched surfaces.
If you have been notified that your student failed vision or hearing screening it is very important to see a healthcare provider for a full evaluation. If you do not have insurance to cover an eye doctor or health insurance to see a physician, please contact Nurse Fisher who can provide resources in this regard.
