Halo Highlight: Advent Blessings

Dear Saints Families,

As we begin the Advent season, I am inspired by the abundance of Christ's blessings. Reflecting on Wednesday's Gospel where fish and bread are multiplied to meet the needs of the crowd, I literally witnessed the multiplicity of gifts and talents from our community this week! From our faculty gathering for Adoration then learning about providing better accommodations to our students with learning differences, to witnessing so many of you volunteering in implementing our Strategic Vision last night, we are truly ABUNDANT in our resources and gifts. As I watched our Physics students build and race their mouse trap cars (along with the most brilliant explanations of why theirs was the most creative) I saw their joy in learning. I hope during this season we can all focus on the abundance of what really matters - family and faith. We are so fortunate to call St. Louis Catholic home to both of those.

We remind our students that as part of our daily Advent Challenge series, they can wear any pair of closed-toe shoes to school tomorrow, with socks, and earn a special surprise during/after A period! And be sure to read the Upcoming Events (at the bottom) to see next week's Christmas dress day themes and the corresponding ways to serve those in need!

Blessings,

Mia Orgeron

Help Chart the Future of St. Louis Catholic!

Wednesday's Strategic Vision Team meetings were a huge success. All six teams gathered and continued working to implement the goals and tactics created during the 2018-19 school year. From rich dialogue to creating checklists and action steps, each team made great strides with the support of our St. Louis Catholic Advisory Council.

It's not too late to take part in this historic event. Contact the front office at 436-7275 for more information or to volunteer. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 8th at 5:30 p.m., and the first Wednesday of each month following.

2020-2021 Tuition Schedule

Our Finance Committee met before the Thanksgiving holidays and approved the 2020-2021 Tuition Schedule, which is listed in the graphic below and on our website here. We make every effort to keep tuition costs down for our families, but an increase of $20 a month for 10 months next year will allow us to keep up with the rising costs of educating our students and maintaining quality faculty.

Faculty News

Professional Development Highlights Student Accommodations

Faculty and staff spent time Wednesday in Adoration and faith formation reflecting on the book A Devotional Journey into the Mass with Sister Marirose Rudeck. Her practical knowledge as a former school principal is such a gift to our school and is invaluable to focus our hearts and minds on doing God's work daily.

Instructional Coach Mary Villaume also guided teachers on how to use accommodations effectively in each classroom setting. Mrs. Villaume facilitated great discussion about the top learning differences that students experience and what we can do to ensure success.
