Words of Inspiration
"What is life, if not the sum of a hundred thousand daily battles and tiny decisions
to either gut it out or give it up?”
-James Clear
A Special Applause to...
PD on the Fly...
When I found this article it made me think of our students. The author, Dr. Katie Martin, opens by asking (from a student's perspective), "How do I get an A?" As I read this article it made me reflect on how far we have come in education. Many have experienced school as an experience where the teacher taught and you either learned or didn't. The idea of I covered that topic in class already was a pervasive thought in public education. I have seen the transformation in education come to life at the Greene School. You are experts, not simply in teaching, but in learning. You do so much to ensure all students learn. I have been especially impressed with the process teachers have used to take information from the MAP and turn it into opportunities for students. Learning is messy and that's OK. This article provides strategies to support students beyond the standards. Enjoy!

Fashion for the Cure - Jean Week - March 1-6
In past years we have had a “Jean Week” fundraiser throughout the district. The idea is that any staff at the schools can pay $10 to wear jeans to school for the whole week instead of dressing more formally. All money raised will go directly to The Dragonfly Foundation. Jean Week will be held the week of March 1st - March 6th as our show date for 2020 is March 6th.
Staff, there is an envelope on Martha's desk for $ and to sign up for Jean Week. Thank you!
If you are interested in supporting fundraising efforts by participating in the fundraiser, there is a PDF of a flier below.
