Ukulele time!!!!! The kids are very excited to learn how to play the Ukulele in music class. Thanks to a grant that was funded by the Cliffs, we now have a class set so each student can have an instrument in their hands for each class. We started back in April and the kids are doing great! So, if you are looking for an excellent birthday, Christmas, or good grades gift……Ukulele may be the answer. 2nd – 5th grade classes are all learning to play. Sorry, but K and 1st are learning other instruments during class time. 5th grade will only have this last 9 weeks of instruction on them (as well as some Recorder Time) but I plan to teach them how to read Chord Charts so they can continue if they would like. Each year 2nd-5th will play so I will gain a new group as the 5th graders leave us! Wow! That is sad.
1st did amazing in the Keyboard lab this year! I’m so proud of all their hard work. We got to a great spot to start next year. So we are now back on Quaver and will finish the year very strong.
K4/K5 are still working on Quaver. Don’t forget, they can go on Quaver 365 days a year. I hope they will continue having fun learning all about music even during the summer. If you have any questions about that, just send me an email and I’ll do my best to answer.
Thanks for allowing me to teach your child. I can wait to see how much we learn this last month of the school year.

May is an exciting month for the PE department! We are finally enjoying the warmer weather with team based games outside, and our lower grades will be practicing games for our upcoming field day. May 19th is our color run (5:30 - 6:30 PM) and we have already had a good amount of students and family register! You can register up to and including the day of the race, I look forward to seeing everyone there. Field day this year will be on Thursday, May 25th for k4 - 2nd grade and Friday, May 26th for 3rd to 5th grade. This year we will be having volunteers from BRHS to help our students!

We are near the end of school but we are still working hard on a lot of different things! 2nd grade will start talking about pollinators , 3rd graders are creating their own habitats for animals, 4th grade has planted sunflowers and lantana, and 5th grade will start investigating and gathering data on what plants need to survive! Once our plants start to grow, 4th graders will be helping me start a pollinator garden! We are so very excited to get this started and can't wait to share this with others!
