Happy Tuesday!
This week is a short week with the Mason team preparing for our Thanksgiving break! Families kindly be reminded that there is no school from Wednesday-Friday, November 24-26. School will resume on Monday, November 29.
On behalf of the entire Mason team, we wish all of our dear families a Happy Thanksgiving! Know that we are all truly thankful to be servicing our dear Mason students, and we are committed to providing them with a safe, nurturing and conducive learning environment! We are also extremely grateful and appreciative for our partnership with each family to address our students' needs! Thank you for welcoming and entrusting us to be a part of your family! We continue to move forward through this year working collaboratively with one another, and reminding our students always, that we believe in them, and we want them to believe in themselves!
To our dynamic Mason staff, who have exhibited such knowledge, expertise, leadership and strength determined to servicing all of our stakeholder needs, we appreciate you, and truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts! I am truly humble to be a part of such a warm, and dynamic group of educators who choose to be compassionate toward our students and lead day in and out!
We continue to move forward as One Mason, One Family, One Team! If you need anything, please know you can contact me via email at Hassana@gpschools.org or by phone at (313) 432-4404. As always....Teamwork it is! Together we learn, we lead, and we lift!

Mason Green Team - WASTE FREE WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE!
Go Green this school year and cut back on lunchroom waste!
What is a Waste free lunch?
A waste-free lunch creates no trash that goes in the landfill.
Here’s some tips to avoid creating waste and show respect for our environment:
Eat everything you are served or save it for another time. Avoid throwing food out.
Use reusable containers/tupperware, rather than throwing out plastic bags. Take home containers and plastics to wash out and reuse.
Use reusable water bottles.
Use reusable lunch carriers, rather than disposable brown paper bags.
Recycle plastic bottles into the designated water bottle recycling receptacle located in lunchroom.
Morning Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
* Students should not be playing at the playground in the morning or on the blacktop. Please kindly remind your student.
* Please DO NOT PARK, nor double park on Charlevoix Rd as this is a drop off area during morning arrival and dismissal times. We want to be proactive about this so that parents are not ticketed for parking there, and students are safe to be dropped off.
* Additionally, during morning arrival, let us try to park in the parking spots which tend to be available if you intend to walk your child to the blacktop, and please DO NOT PARK in the drop off circle so that it indeed is a drop off circle for all students to be dropped off safely.
