Student Safety Reminders
*Please use crosswalks at all times and cross in the intersections where there are crossing guards.
*Please do not use the back alley or bus parking lot for arrival or at the end of the day.
*Parents, please do not double-park and block traffic to pick up or drop off your child.
*Please do not walk out into the street to get into cars.
It is suggested to have a meeting spot to pick up your child, rather than block traffic in the street right at dismissal time. Our main concern is the safety of all students so please help us by adhering to these reminders.
Congratulations to Courtney Tonnu! Courtney advanced to the Orange County Department of Education Spelling Bee written round, passed that portion, and was invited to compete in the oral rounds. She placed 17th in the county (out of 131 students) and we are so proud of her!
Congratulations to Josephine Gjoshevska and Chase Purvis (not pictured) for representing Dwyer in the HBCSD Coding Competition. Chase placed 2nd in the district for 6th grade and Josephine placed 1st for 7th grade. Chase also placed 8th overall for the entire district and took home a programmable robot! Almost 600 students took part in this contest to see who wrote the most lines of code. Way to go, Jr. Oilers!
