THANK YOU CPE II!!!
Because of all of your hard work clipping, saving and submitting, CPE II raised not 1,000 Box Tops, not 1,500 Box Tops, but ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNRED AND TEN (1,810) Box Tops. You heard that right. 1,810! Great job.
The next official submission deadline is April 2018 so keep on clipping and saving and submitting throughout the year. Do you think we can make it to 2,000? We will see! Any questions about Box Tops? Email Missy Popp Lloyd (Kylie's Mom) at mkplloyd@gmail.com
Sometimes it was just a late family night. Sometime kids have difficulty sleeping (You might check their diet or check in with their doctor) Scary nightmares can also interrupt sleep. Sometimes kids get up in the middle of the night (unbeknownst to parents) to play video games, watch TV or chat with friends. We highly suggest keeping phones from before bedtime and keeping TVs and game systems out of sleep areas.
Exciting Science at the Middle School
What an exciting first few months in science class at CPE2 Middle School! The 8th graders have been studying Evolution, DNA and Heredity. The 7th graders are focused on our Oyster Restoration Station in the East River and developing their independent research projects for the BOP Symposium. Our 6th graders are engaged in investigating the atmosphere and meteorology. Please support our work by looking for the following household items you might have. These supplies are needed for our next 8th grade unit on Engineering and Design. Drop off at either the elementary school or middle school and label "For 8th Grade Engineering Unit"

Our Garden
Overall, the garden looks in good shape for winter. We turned over the soil and the children planted some more cover crop seeds, but it was a thin layer - more may be needed.
Looking for volunteers for recess gardening for this Monday 10-12. No experience needed!

Gift Wrapping Volunteers For Book Culture Needed to Earn Money For CPE II
Book Culture has a volunteer gift-wrapping program for the holiday season. When a member of the CPE II Community volunteers to do a shift, all tips generated will be donated to CPE II. If tip revenue for every shift doesn't reach $50 they will guarantee us that much for your participation. They need volunteers to work the 450 Columbus (between 81/82) location. Shifts are from Nov 24 through Christmas Eve (December 24th). We already have a few parents signed up.
