We're moving to YELLOW - More information coming soon!

On Saturday, February 6, 2021, Garfield County moved from Orange to Yellow on the Colorado Coronavirus Restrictions.

This happened very quickly with just 24-hour notice. The Garfield Re-2 Administrative staff will be meeting with Athletic Directors on Monday, February 8 to review what changes can be made to the athletics protocols. This information will be presented to the school board at Monday night’s meeting under the Superintendent Report.

This information will be emailed to all Garfield Re-2 families on Tuesday morning. We appreciate your patience.

Universal meal program continues - Please continue to complete your Free and Reduced lunch forms

The universal free meal program for breakfast and lunch has been extended through the end of the school year. That means that every child can receive a free breakfast and lunch at school. That means our virtual students too!

We want to remind all of those families with virtual students or students quarantining at home, that we can provide you free breakfasts and lunches as well. Just call your school office by 9 a.m. and we will have a warm lunch waiting for you and breakfast for the next day.

Don’t forget that we are still taking free and reduced lunch applications. These forms are important for many other reasons beyond school lunch. Applications are included in the newsletter. We need your help. If you haven’t already, please take a minute to fill out the forms and return them to your school.

Nutrition Services Shout out to GME Kitchen Staff & LaDonna Sjogren

This week's shout out goes to LaDonna Sjogren at Grand Mesa Elementary. LaDonna and her staff served 207 staff meals in January.

Those meals really help our department's revenue, that because of quarantines, closures, and off-site students is really behind this year. I want to just thank LaDonna, Chrissy, and Eliza for all you do every day. Keep up the good work.
