Granville Academy: Thank You

Granville Academy sends a sincere thank you to our Pirate community. We are so thankful for you patience during this time that is ever so changing and that has much uncertainty.

Please know there is one thing that is certain, and that is our students are our main priority.

We will continue to be in communication and please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr.

BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr have a multitude of digital resources that can be used with students! This week we would like to highlight two specific activities that can help our students learn about the Coronavirus and how to prevent the spread of germs.

Granville Academy Read-A-Thon

Thank you to everyone who supported our GA Pirates in grades K-8 during our second Granville Academy Read-A-Thon.

Our GA Pirates logged a total of 3,458 minutes and raised $1,685! This is FAR beyond last year!

Granville Academy K-5 & 6-8 Family Support/Outreach Groups

K-5 & 6-8 Granville Academy families:

There are two Facebook groups that are set up for GA Pirates and families in grades K-5 & 6-8 (as parents and students) to come together and get to know each other better. The idea behind the pages is to have somewhere to go for support (help with assignments that may be confusing) or to plan a fun outing with the group ("Hey, anyone want to go to the park and have lunch this Friday?").

Please note the pages are set up to protect the privacy of students & families. Only GA Pirates are allowed to join. Please search for the groups on Facebook!

We are looking forward to getting to know our GA Pirates!

GA Box Tops for Education

Granville Academy is continuing to participate in the Box Top for Education program this year!

Please view the flyer below for updated information on how to participate and earn money for our school.

Information Grades 6-8

Message from 6-8 Teachers:

You and your student should have a received an email from me with their individualized checklist for this week. We are focusing on making up work and supplemental materials this week instead of moving forward in the curriculum. If you did not receive an email, we would like you to keep doing what you have been doing with your child.

We would like all students and at least one parent to check-in with us using the Google Form linked here or in the email we sent earlier.

We appreciate all your patience and flexibility during this time where things seem to constantly be changing.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns that you may have.

Thank you,

Middle School Team
