Read Across America Day

"Did you know Dr. Seuss would be 112 this year? While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He forever changed the way children's books were written and continues to inspire generations." Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss! At RCS on Thursday, March 3rd, we celebrated his birthday in style! Sporting student designed t-shirts, children listened with delight as adults from the school, community and beyond read to them. We would like a special THANK YOU to go out to the Erie Seawolves representatives as they came and read with our children. In addition, everyone received a bookmark, designed by our students, and a brand new book of their own! Thank you to our administration for their support of this important program!!!

Cheers to these Ripley students who designed this year's bookmarks and t-shirt!

This grant will help to expand our garden and hopefully inspire our students to grow their own fruits, vegetables and herbs. We would like to say a big THANK YOU to Tractor Supply for this amazing opportunity! Watch the newsletter later this spring and during the summer for more updates on our school garden project! For more information you may go to http://www.agclassroom.org. Check out the "Student Center" while you are there for the 'Kids Zone' and more!
