Town of Tradition
Lake Highlands' traditions save residents from change
Lake Highlands could very well be called the town of tradition! Of course, everything must be a tradition and it must never change. If something happens once, it has to happen again even if it will not be the same and even if the place it happens has been shut down you must find a new franchise for that place! When traditions change, everything in a town falls apart, it just has to happen even if you do not want it to. If the tradition is to go to a team dinner at Chili's you have to go, even if the Chili's close by shut down and especially if nobody on the team likes Chili's. Change poses imminent danger towards a community and many people's health. Change can result in awful side effects such as finding interesting new places, meeting new people, and worst of all finding out about something new that you enjoy. Lake Highlands' traditions have saved many people from experiencing these demoralizing effects of change.
If something new does happen, which is possible, it must be named the "First Annual..." that way, people will believe that it has been a tradition or must become one even though it only happened once since the name of the event has the word annual in it. Of course coming up with new, fun ideas is only acceptable if it is the worst case scenario, so do not get to happy go lucky about creating new ideas. Traditions are vital to keeping the community together, because nothing good can happen when things change.
