~~~IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT DISMISSAL~~~
Please be sure that you have DashPass up and running, AND placards visible to assist with dismissing students, as BOTH are necessary for a smooth and timely dismissal.
If you do not have a placard, or if you need an additional placard, please email Ms. Jabar at jabar.aleesa@franklin-academy.org so that we can provide you with one.
Placard requests will only be sent home with students on Mondays only.
Please also complete the Way Home Form, located on your PowerSchool Parent Portal.
IB ATTRIBUTE OF THE MONTH: THINKER
The IB Learner profile aims to develop students who are thinkers. Students who are thinkers exercise initiative in applying thinking skills critically and creatively to recognize and approach complex problems, and make reasoned, ethical decisions.
IB students contribute to discussions in a meaningful way. They do not shy away from challenging questions and, once they know the answer, follow up by asking “why?”.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE REMINDER
Scholars are not permitted to have ANY cellular devices on their person while on campus. They must be off and in their backpacks.
This includes cell phones and smartwatches.

PLEASE LOG INTO YOUR POWERSCHOOL PARENT PORTAL TO COMPLETE THE WAY HOME FORM FOR YOUR SCHOLAR.
IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON POWERSCHOOL.
THIS MUST BE COMPLETED SO THAT WE HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF YOUR SCHOLAR'S WAY HOME.
CELL PHONE/ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY ENFORCEMENT
ALL scholars (K-8) need to have a pair of wired/plug-in headphones at school daily, as headphones will be used throughout the school year for computer work and for testing.
These headphones need to stay in the classroom all school year.
BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED.
We already have some items that need to find their owner.
Has your child lost a water bottle, lunchbox, or piece of Franklin clothing?
Please ask the to check the Lost and Found in the cafeteria.
PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME!
