Monthly Updates
Welcome Back Eagles!
I look forward to seeing you all on the first day of school, September 5, 2023! I hope you all had a great summer! My sons and I enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the beach. I was lucky enough to attend some amazing concerts (Morgan Wallen @ Fenway- My Fav!). I also started the college tour journey with my oldest son who will be a senior this year- I still can't wrap my head around it! I am excited to see all of your faces the first week of school so please stop by!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Medication Drop Off
For those students who will be receiving scheduled medications during the school day a parent/guardian will need to bring in the medication along with the signed form that is attached below. The medication also needs to be accompanied by a print out of the clinician's order for the prescribed medication. The medication itself must be in its original packaging and labeled with the student's name. On Thursday, August 31st- parents are welcome to come to the school to drop off medications between 12:30-2:30pm. Otherwise they will need to be brought in the first day of school.
Please note- students are NOT allowed to bring in the medications themselves!
Emergency Medications
If your child has a life threatening allergy requiring Epipen use, Asthma requiring inhaler use, Seizure history requiring rescue medication, or Diabetes, all medical information needs to be up to date in the Nurse's Office.
What does This Mean?
Anaphylaxis Action Plan and Epi Pen
Asthma Action Plan and Inhaler
Seizure Action Plan and Medication
Diabetic Care Plan and Supplies
Please come by on Thursday August 31st between 12:30-2:30p or the first day of school to drop off emergency medications along with the corresponding action plans. The action plans must be up to date and not expired. Emergency medications need to be in the original packaging with the student's name on the package.
Students with Diabetic Care Plans should plan on bringing: Extra supplies (glucose and ketone strips), extra pods, needles, insulin to be stored in the nurse's office, and snacks that are consistent with those outlined in the care plan.
Over the Counter Medications
During the year, your child might need an over the counter medication like Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Attached below is a consent form allowing these medications to be administered. Please read through and denote which medications are safe and acceptable for your child. Your student can return this form to the nurse's office on the first day of school.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns,
