reminders
Teachers please ensure that students do not go to the bathroom with markers, sharpies and etc. Our bathrooms are being marked up and the custodians are working hard to keep them clean from graffiti.
Teachers please ensure that you purchase all items that you receive from the Cafeteria, as there have been complaints from the Cafeteria that teachers are forgetting to purchase their items.
Thank You!

TGIF
Hello everyone! It's Friday and the weekend is upon us! What a week! With that being said it is time for the End of year events........
Tuesday we will be having the 21st Annual Student vs Faculty Basketball game in the afternoon from approximately 1:45 til the end of school. This is a free event for the students to attend and have a great time. We are looking for any teacher that would like to come out and join the faculty team and is willing to go out and have a great time with the kids. Please get with me and let me know if you're interested in playing. Even if it's only for a couple of minutes, the kids will love seeing you out there giving it your best! Please bring a black tee shirt to play in that day. This is for 8th grade student athletes who meet the criteria to play. It is a co-ed event.
Wednesday!!!!!! LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!
At the faculty get together at Deercroft, we've had a cornhole tournament for the past few years and would like to keep that going. If you are interested in joining the tournament (partner tournament, and names are drawn from a hat for teams).....please let me know so I can try and get that set up for Wednesday afternoon. If you have a set of cornhole boards and are willing to bring them in, please feel free to bring those in, we would like at least 10 sets if we can get them.
Golf: I've spoken with Ted at Deercroft and he's going to give us a discount (cost is $10) for 9 holes and a cart. In the past we've broken up into foursomes and have played a Captain's Choice format (everyone hits their drives, and then you choose the best shot and everyone hits from there).....this is a lot of fun. Please let me know if you are going to play so I can get the tee times set up and he can reserve us some carts.
It doesn't matter if you are any good at cornhole or golf, come on out and play, we'll have a great time!
Curriculum Corner
Monday, we may have a lot of students leaving due to the AR/PBIS field trip but according to the schedule Monday & Tuesday will be Intense Remediation in Full EFFECT!!! For those remaining students are that are remediating for Math ONLY, they are to remain in Math all day…If a student is remediating for Reading ONLY, they will remain with that teacher all day. Students that have both will split their day in half (per Mr. Smith). Teachers if you have not adjusted your schedule to include this type of structure, please do so by Monday. These extra efforts will definitely PAY OFF!!! Math and ELA teachers should have received a special EOG report explaining the areas of weakness in student scores. Use this report to guide instruction during these remediation blocks and tutorials. I will distribute copies of this document for 8th Grade Science on Monday.
