Fall Break Recruitment Opportunities
Do you love Appalachian? Would you like to go back to your high school over Fall Break and tell others about App? If so, stay for a brief info session after the App Ed meeting next week (9/27). It shouldn’t take much longer than 20 minutes. High school students love hearing from current students about what college life is really like, so this is a wonderful opportunity to share that knowledge! At the info session next week, we will go over the PowerPoint presentation that you will have as a guide and talk about supplies that you will have to give out. After that, you can contact former teachers, guidance counselors, and principals about visiting.
Some important dates for this event:
- Sept. 27: info meeting @ 6pm (after App Ed)
- Sept. 27-Oct. 3: contact former teachers, guidance counselors, principals
- Oct. 4: We will have sent out a form for you to sign up. Please fill this out by Oct. 4 before 5:30.
- Oct. 9-11: Packets will be ready for pick up in the James Center.
- Oct. 12-13: Fall break days that you would be visiting your schools.
We hope you will consider participating in this effort!
Thanks,
Recruitment Committee
