Standards Based Report Card Information
It’s all about student understanding and mastering a learning goal - and less about grades. A standards-based report card lists the most important skills students should learn in each subject at a particular grade level. Instead of letter grades, students receive marks or a code that shows how well they have mastered the skills.

Standards-Based Report Cards will go home with all students on Wednesday, October 21st for the 1st Nine Weeks.
3rd Grade Project Based Learning Unit- "Go Green" Shoe Drive
Our 3rd grade is leading a shoe drive in support of the Cherry Family Adoption and global poverty relief as a part of their Project Based Learning Unit, "Go Green"
Mrs. Cherry’s family is pursuing an international adoption. Their strong belief in caring for children in need in addition to desiring to grow their family motivates their pursuit of adopting a child! We can help support their pursuit by collecting shoes!!! We will collect GENTLY used shoes of all shapes, sizes, and types to be processed with a company called Funds2Orgs that will pay for the shoes and that payment will be going toward the adoption. In addition, donating shoes will benefit families in developing countries to gain a sustainable living through a small shoe business.
As you switch closets over to fall/winter attire consider donating all your gently worn shoes (quality is important) to our shoe drive!
Our minimum goal is 2,500 pairs!!! So, we need all the help you can give!!!
Here’s what you can do:
1: Collect shoes from home, family members, friends, neighbors, church, etc {quality gently used, please}
2: Tie shoe strings together or rubber band together
3: Send to school with your students or drop off during the carline.
