County Line Connection
December 2023
Message from Principal Eisenbach
Warm wishes to our CL families!
With the weather getting colder, and the possibility of snow, please make sure your child(ren) is dressed for outdoor recess. Students are not allowed on the wood chips or field without snow pants and boots. Even if they don’t want to play in those areas, wearing boots at recess is always a good idea since the blacktop frequently gets slushy. We do have outdoor recess as long as the windchill is above zero degrees so make sure they are prepared for those colder days. Please label hats, mittens, snow pants, etc to make it easier to return clothing accumulating at the lost and found.
We are having our first concerts of the year this month. On December 14th the 2nd graders will start their performance at 6:00 pm in the CL cafe. Also on the 14th, our 4th graders’ performance will start at 7:00 pm in the cafe. Please park in the back lot off Colonial Dr. The back doors will be open and the main entrance will be locked. Our 4th grade will put on a bonus performance at the December 18th school board meeting at Germantown High School. The school board meeting will start at 7:00 pm on the 18th and our students will perform at the beginning of that meeting.
Have a happy and healthy holiday season!
Andy Eisenbach
Principal
Notes from the Office:
Cold Weather Clothing
Winter weather looks like it's here to stay. Please remember to dress for the cold weather. As a reminder, please know we will have outdoor recess unless inclement weather or the temperature drops below zero degrees. If your child does not have snow pants and boots, they will not be able to play off the blacktop.
Lost and Found
We have many items on our lost and found area looking for their owners. Please have your child check the lost and found.
Please make sure to call the office, 262-253-3465, if your child will not be at school (sick, appt, etc.) at the start of the day. We have voicemail at all hours so a message can always be left. If your child will be late to school please let us know if your child will be taking a hot or cold lunch. Any questions give us a call.
Notes from the Health Room:
Having extra clothes at school isn’t just for kindergarteners! Please think about having some extra clothes at school for your student during these snowy months. They play hard at recess and that can lead to some very wet clothes. Even just having a dry pair of socks in their backpack helps. The Health room has some extra clothes for accidents but not enough to go around on wet days.
Cough Drops
Hello County Line Families. Let’s talk cough drops! Last year there was a school district policy change that now considers cough drops an over-the-counter medication. Therefore, they now require the non-prescription medication form to be filled out and be on file in the Health Room. The Health Room will also need to store and administer your student’s cough drops. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Stephanie Dodge, County Line Health Room Aide, at sdodge@gsdwi.org or call 262-253-3465.
