Message from Principal Shiratori

Dear Carr Families,

Join us this Thursday at Back to School Night, an opportunity for the adults in our student's lives to get to know your child's teacher, the classroom environment, and learn about what to expect in the grade level. Teachers will repeat the same presentation at 6pm or 6:30pm, so please attend one of the sessions.

** Save the Date for Open house/ Portfolio Day which will take place on March 29th, 2024. Open House is when students have an opportunity to showcase their work and classroom to the adults in their lives.

A reminder that we have a special early dismissal time to give our teachers time to prepare for the event. This Thursday, dismissal time is 2:12pm (1st-5th grade only. Regular 1:50pm dismissal for TK/K.)

We look forward to seeing you there!

Mina Shiratori, Principal

Books for Every Student from Helpful Honda!

Through their social media followers, Carr Elementary was selected as one of Helpful Honda's special schools to receive free books for each of our students! Students were ecstatic to select a book to take home and enjoy! Thank you Helpful Honda! and Thank you to their social media followers, including our own Ms. Shimizu, who nominated Carr Elementary to receive this special treat!
