Veteran's Day
We learned all about our Armed Forces this week. A veteran can be anyone that has served our country. Many of us have a veteran in our family. We made a red, white and blue collage to show our gratitude to the men and women who keep us safe!
Typing Club
Mrs. Sayre introduced us to the Typing Club App that we used on our chromebooks. We realized how hard it is to keep our fingers on the homerow. We want to keep using one finger to look for the letters we need. With more practice, we know that we will be able to type quickly using both hands!
Spelling
Quiz, Quiz, Trade is becoming one of our favorite ways to practice our spelling words before we take our tests! Please be on the look out for that list in your child's dog binder.
Math Tubs
We are building on to our math tubs by including activities that have us practicing addition and subtraction within 20. We love rotating through and have a few favorite activities that we could do over and over again.
FYI
This afternoon, during our lunchtime, the fire alarm went off. This was a fluke, and there was not any danger to the students. Once the alarm was noted as false, the students were let back into the building.
Top Dog: Gabriela
Gabriela brought in an Elsa doll that spoke Spanish!!!!! She loves hamburgers, the Frozen movie and enjoys when we get together with our 5th grade buddies.
Miscellaneous Items
I will be gone this Monday and Tuesday. There will be a sub in the room for those days. I am moving about 10 miles farther away from a big house to a tiny duplex! I'm very excited and was happy to get rid of 23 years worth of stuff!
