Grant Gazette
December 2020
Dear Families,
Happy Holidays to you all!
I have just a few reminders for you this month:
Please make sure to have your students dress warmly during the winter. Students will have to stand outside if they arrive before 7:45am and we will go outside for recess if the windchill temperature is 10 degrees or higher.
Please consider putting an extra mask in your child's backpack. Sometimes, students forget to put a mask on at home and come to school without one. Other times, a mask might get soiled from a cough or a sneeze. Have a spare mask in the backpack would help both of these situations.
Speaking of masks, I really appreciate the people who are wearing masks while outside picking up students. Thank you! For a few minutes (from 3:10 until about 3:20), there are a LOT of people standing outside; wearing a mask during that time will keep everyone safer and help us stay with in-school learning longer.
Lastly, we did record our December PTO meeting on Facebook Live. You can view the Dec. 1 meeting on our PTO Facebook page (there is a link at the top of this page!)
Have a wonderful December!

Hello, Grant families!
In December, our thoughts often turn to giving gifts! Sometimes we are not able to give physical gifts, especially in this year of financial uncertainty for many, and being separated from extended family. But we can always give away kindness. Kindness makes our world a better place to be! Below is a link to a printable activity to spread kindness during the month of December. Perhaps you would like to challenge your children (and yourselves!) to see how many of these acts of kindness you can complete this month!
