Important Testing Information
Please look over the information below as following these guidelines will make STAAR testing go more smoothly for everyone involved.:
· Student attendance on testing days is vitally important. Please make every effort to be at school and to be on time.
· Please reschedule appointments that are slated for testing days.
· Cell phones are not allowed in testing rooms. Encourage your student to leave his/her phone at home or in his/her locker on testing days.
· Smart Watches are not allowed in testing rooms. As with cell phones, please encourage your student to either leave them at home or in his/her locker.
· We encourage students to bring their lunch on STAAR testing days. Because this is a timed test which must be interrupted for students to eat, having a lunch from home simplifies the process for everyone.

Plano ISD Theater Summer Camps
Enrollment for the middle and high school theatre camps are now open and have gone 100% digital this year. I enthusiastically recommend both of these camps and would be happy to answer any questions you might have about them.
If you have a current 6th or 7th grade student, they would attend StarPower, the Middle School Camp: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/plano-isd-starpower-middle-school-theatre-camp-registration-44766489776
If you have a current 8th grade student, they would attend CenterStage, the High School Camp: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/plano-isd-centerstage-high-school-theatre-camp-registration-44783629040
Both of these camps have a finite number of spaces for actors and technicians so I would encourage you to register ASAP, as the camps book quickly every year!
Lastly, if you would like to apply for a scholarship to cover part (or potential all) the cost of camp tuition, please follow these instructions:
1. Email me ASAP so that I can send you the scholarship application.
2. Do not register through the above links. There is a separate registration process for students receiving scholarship assistance.
Again, I’m happy to answer any questions. I hope your student is able to take advantage of this wonderful and unique opportunity!
Thanks,
Candace Norris
