-Halloween Party

-Thanks to all my parents who helped out at the Halloween Party, it was a success! We also really enjoyed the Monster juice. Thanks to everyone who sent in spinach, bananas, strawberries, and orange juice!

-Friday Folders

There is an optional November homework, disguise the turkey. I'll talk more next week with the class about this project. Happy November, please enjoy your child's November picture!

SSF Community Service

Solana Santa Fe would like to provide 40 families with complete Thanksgiving meals. The Solana Beach School District’s CDC will deliver these meals, along with others from the 5 other Solana Beach Schools to families in need at our sister school in Chula Vista. We would like FIRST grade to bring one or two boxes of stuffing to school by November 16th. I will have a box in the classroom to collect the boxes.

It you have any extra “Banker Boxes” please send them in as well by November 15th. We need these boxes to pack food items and will be collecting them in the lobby.

We are also looking for a donation of 40 frozen turkeys. If you’re willing to donate a frozen turkey please sign up HERE and deliver it to SSF on Thursday, November 17th between 8:00 and 9:00 am.

Each class will participate in packing individual family boxes by placing their classes’ food items into each box. The hope is to give students a connection to the cause.

Thanks for helping!

Garden

Every other Friday we visit the garden. Today we learned about leaves and trees! We discussed why they change colors, chlorophyll, and dormant trees. Then we traced them with crayon to see their parts like the veins! As your child about leaves!

Our drops were pulled at the Friday assembly!
