Description of Activity: Refilling drinks in the coolers, returns, and some customer interaction
Refilling drinks in the cooler, and returns requires an effective use of judgement in order to organize how many and where the products are located and where they belong on the shelf. It requires a great deal of patience also to fix others products that are slanted/ or fallen. This task also requires the skill of memory as you need to remember the UPC code to find where the product belongs.
Rationale:
I have chosen this task to demonstrate what I've learnt, because by adding new stock to the shelves is an essential part of business as people have needs that the store should fulfill. If not the store might face the risk of not being able to run.
Details of returns, and coolers:
1. Determine where the products goes.
2. Look at the UPC code and place the product.
3. Adjust the product at the back or at the front accordingly.
4. Adjust other products accordingly.
5. Repeat process.
Details of customer interaction:
1. Greet customer
2. Ask them what they need help with.
3. Ask customer for further detail about the product to help them.
4. Show them where the products is.
5. If medical related I would tell them to ask pharmacy as they have more knowledge than me.
6. If the consumer needs more help I would ask someone else to help them.
7. Offer similar products to help the customer if we do not have that product they're looking for.
