From the Principal's Desk......
- Pledge of Allegiance - Please send down 2-3 students each day by 7:55. It will be important to start announcements/pledges promptly since we have PE classes starting right at 8:00. Mrs. Siler's Class will be up next and Mrs. Hingston's class will take over the week of October 1st. *If there is ever anything you would like me to add to our morning announcements, please let me know and I will be sure to include it.
- Teacher Growth Plans - Please begin working on your growth plans for the 18-19 school year. The district has been given access to Pivot for this week only. I would suggest logging into the system and copying your growth plans from last year. Please use Google Docs to create a document with a similar format. I would suggest focusing on one of your lowest scoring areas of the rubric from your 17-18 formal evaluation. If there are any other evaluation components from Pivot you'd like to have access to in the future, you will need to make a copy of it prior to Friday. We will no longer have access to any documents in the system after that day. Please share your completed Growth Plan with me by Friday, October 5th.
- Student pick-up after recess- Please make sure you are picking your own classroom up after recesses. Students should be escorted back to their classrooms by their classroom teacher rather than their grade level.
- Art Club - Art Club registration is now available. If any students bring a check or money in to you, please just send it to the office and we will keep track of it. Thank you in advance.
- Homecoming 2018 - Homecoming is scheduled for September 28th. The football players and Homecoming Court will be visiting our schools for an assembly at 11:20 at Ling. Rather than having the Y5 and Kindergarten travel over to Ling that day, the players and court will travel around the classrooms at the little elementary starting at 10:15.
- Just a reminder for teachers..... Please make sure your lesson plans have been submitted and are up-to-date by the morning of our first student day of each week.
- Safe Schools Online Training - Please make sure training is completed by the end of the day on Friday, September 28th.
- NWEA testing will continue this week and must be completed by September 28th. If necessary, please be sure to review the instructions for proctoring testing sessions. You can find those instructions by clicking on the condensed version of the Ling Elementary NWEA Proctoring Instructions.
