Parent and Community Communication
Welcome Back
Thank you very much for being a part of such a wonderful community and if you are new to Aubrey, America and BES a very special warm welcome to the best school district in Texas! We are glad you are here and we look forward to learning more about you.
We appreciate you and your family coming out to BES for Pop into Kinder, Meet the Teacher, First Day of School, and Curriculum Night, and Grandparent's Day Luncheon and we look forward to packing our school this year with other events!
Here at BES, we approach each school year with an attitude of continuous improvement. One of the areas that we would like to improve upon is communication with our families. This newsletter will be a great way for us to share information, student learning, student success inside and outside of the classroom, important dates, and help be a window for you to see all the great things happening at BES! I encourage you to "follow" these newsletters and share with your friends and family.
Meet Mrs. Abrams
As the new BES principal, I am ready and committed to lead our school community to a successful year built upon the established character, family oriented culture, and excellent educational program. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of educating the whole child! I have been dedicated to the field of education for seventeen years. I have worked with a variety of students and have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade. My administrative experience includes two years prior to Aubrey ISD and the last two years as the assistant principal here at Brockett Elementary. I am excited and eager to continue as an educational leader at Brockett Elementary and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
Know that our BES families and community are very important to me. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to a great year!
Proud to serve as your principal,

Meet Ms. Siggers
Dear Brockett Families,
It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter to you. I feel honored to be apart of the Brockett Elementary family this year, working in partnership with you for the success of your children!
I have been in Aubrey for the past 6 years, teaching third and fourth grade at Monaco Elementary. Throughout my teaching career, I was entrusted with various leadership responsibilities and committees that ultimately led me to obtain my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.
I am elated to work in a school that is dedicated to the success of the whole child. Please feel free to communicate any celebrations or concerns you may have to share. When we work collaboratively together, your child’s educational experience will be enhanced. I look forward to working with you to maintain the high standard of student success and excellence that Brockett is known for.

Hurricane Harvey Help for Wesley Elementary
Please see the attached flyer!
Our Penny War to raise money for Wesley Elementary begins today! We adopted this school through Principals Helping Principals Hurricane Harvey Relief Program.
They are very thankful their building received minor damage that has been restored and they are ready to start school today. The school is 98% Economically Disadvantaged and many of the families have lost their jobs due to the flooding and access. Mr. Anderson, the principal shared with me that the biggest concern is the ability for families to provide food. HISD has set up hubs to feed families and students and Wesley hosted one this past Friday. Another concern is how much time has been lost academically. Mr. Anderson is trying to find the means to pay his teachers and feed the students on Saturdays. This would allow the teachers to catch students up on their studies and allow time for the families to work, find work, and repair damages. This is where the Aubrey and Brockett family can help. We are asking for any amount of pennies, other money, and gift cards to help. We are also accepting non-perishable snack/food items that can used for Saturday or after school programs.
Mr. Anderson is so thankful and appreciative of our help! Let’s show him how big our AISD and BES hearts are!
We will be accepting donations through September 22nd.
