Important Student Safety Update
Given recent events and tragedies affecting Michigan schools, we wanted to provide the infographic and information below from the National Association of School Psychologists to assist our families. Parents and school personnel can help children feel safe by establishing a sense of normalcy and security and talking with them about their fears. In the coming days, staff will review safety procedures with students and are readily available to support students and address any of their concerns.
In addition, we wanted to share a reminder about Michigan's OK2SAY Anonymous Tip Line. Students are encouraged to report, immediately, to an adult when they learn of something that could be a danger to them or others. Find out more by visiting the link provided.
We are here to support one another. We are one Golden Eagle family!💙💛 Speak out against harmful behavior and take a stand for student safety!
OK2SAY, Confidential Reporting for Michigan Students
In light of recent events, we wanted to share a reminder about Michigan's "ok2say program". Students are encouraged to report, immediately, to an adult when they learn of something that could be a danger to them or others. Columbia Central staff are readily available to hear their concerns and take action. In addition, the "ok2say" program offers multiple avenues for students to report concerns anonymously.
Thank you to Mr. Jackson and our AMAZING Leadership Class for organizing the Leadership Forum
Today and every day...We are one Golden Eagle Family! 💛💙

JR High Trip Fundraiser
As a fundraiser, we have boxes of fudge available for your students to sell. These funds can be allocated for our Spring trip that is to be determined or the DC trip if your child is currently in 7th grade. Each box can be purchased for $36 and has a value of $72. If your child sells the box, they will earn $36 toward their trip. Please email angela.schira@myeagles.org if your child would like to sell fudge.
7th & 8th Grade Washington Trip Spring 2023
If your child is currently in 6th or 7th grade, they will have an opportunity to attend the Washington DC field trip in the Spring of 2023. We will host an important parent meeting on December 7th at 6 PM in the CCHS Auditorium. At this meeting, you will hear from the tour representative and learn about a wonderful way to reduce the cost of your trip by booking early. Please email rob.riedel@myeagles.org if you have any questions.
Junior High Nite Lights Trip
7th and 8th grade visits MIS Nite Lites
Thanks to John Spink, Nite Lites and the Student Council concession funds, CCJHS has the opportunity to visit the holiday spectacular of lights on Dec. 10. Students can get into the holiday spirit by staying after school to make a Christmas craft (maybe for you!) and then board a school bus to view the Nite Lites at MIS. We will leave the school around 5:30 and return no later than 7. The permission slip is available in the junior high office or from Mrs.Liebau. It must be returned in order to participate and know how many students will attend. This is such a fun event! We are accepting donations of cut wood squares/ rectangles, no larger than 9 X 11 for our craft.
