Farewell Mrs. Barron!

We are sad to say 'goodbye for now' to our fabulous librarian, Mrs. Barron. We have benefited from her creativity and dedication over the past few years, and we wish her the best in her future endeavors. Thank you for inspiring our Wildcats, Mrs. Barron!

In her absence, we are fortunate to have secured some experienced librarians to keep our library running smoothly.

Drawing on Earth @ Westwood

The Mt. Diablo Education Foundation is funding a visit from Mark Lewis Wagner, a professional chalk artist, to work with our students on Tuesday, November 13th. The entire school will be creating a colorful display, celebrating Wildcat Pride and our 60th year anniversary. Be sure to come by to check it out during the Art Gala!

IMPORTANT NOTE: All students will be participating in the chalk drawing. Students should come to school on Tuesday wearing clothes/shoes that can get dirty (the chalk gets everywhere!). According the the artist, the chalk does come out of clothes, but some colors take a little more work than others.

Square 1 Art Fundraiser

Your children have been hard at work creating art for our Winter Art Gala and Square 1 fundraiser. A custom catalog, featuring their unique artwork, will be coming home the week of December 3rd. Please consider purchasing keepsakes of their masterpieces to help Westwood PFC raise funds for their classrooms. You have until December 14th to submit your orders. Products will be ready to go home with your children the week of January 9th. If items have been purchased as gifts for your children, please email vicepresident@westwoodpfc.org, so that we can arrange to have the items concealed. The higher our participation in purchasing items, the higher our percentage of profit. Even small purchases help us reach our goal!

Parent-Teacher Conferences Coming Soon!

Report Cards will be distributed during Parent-Teacher Conferences, scheduled between December 10-21. Look for more information to be shared by your child's teacher. Note: 1st-5th grade students will be dismissed at 1:00 every day during the conference weeks.
