Principal's Message
Thanks so much for your donations toward carnival! We've been receiving some neat items for our auction and class baskets. Please contribute soon if you can. The carnival is on Oct. 15 and we want it to be a huge success for our students. We have been busy learning and reviewing skills at school each day. Midterm progress reports will come home with kindergarteners-fifth graders on September 28. Please take time to look over this information and ask your child's teacher any questions you may have. A word of caution: for grades 1-5 (grade levels that receive letter grades- A,B,C, D, and F), it is important to note that at the first midterm, many skills are review of previous grade level material and also based on only a few grades because so much time is spent learning rules and procedures in the first 4 weeks of school. Because of these factors, grades are often higher than typical on the first midterm progress report of the school year. If you have any school –related questions or concerns, always communicate with your child’s teacher first and then let me know if your concerns or questions were not addressed. I can be reached at (304)586-2041 or at kbarker@k12.wv.us if you need to speak with me. Thank you for sharing your sweet children with us! :) Ms. Barker
