- 9th Annual Saints of SMS Golf Open (In Memory of Chuck Gouger) - 10:00 am - 8:00 pm at the Crumpin-Fox Golf Club.
Please keep the staff and volunteers at the 9th Annual Saints of SMS Tournament in your thoughts this weekend. The team has been working hard to make sure this fundraiser is a success. Thank you to all who have supported this effort.

Tuesday, May 23rd
- Vermont Technical College Health Fair in Rand Hall - The VTC Nursing students will be visiting SMS on Tuesday, 5/23 to provide a Health Far in Rand Hall. The students will be available all day for students, staff and parents to share important information on the following topics:
Pinkeye & Head lice
Activity/Exercise
Healthy Eating
CPR/Heimlich
Brushing Teeth
Personal Hygiene
Handwashing/How to cover your mouth
Blood pressures
Drug/Alcohol Prevention information (for middle & high school)
Bullying
The Fire Department will also be on-site from 9:00 to 11:00 to discuss emergency plans/exit plans for families in the event of an emergency at home.
- American Legion/8th Grade (1:00 p.m. ) - 8th graders will place flags with the American Legion on the graves of service men and women in Brattleboro.
- Girls on the Run - will meet at dismissal in Rand Hall. Gathering will conclude at 4:00 p.m. (Season celebration/last gathering)

- Ascension Thursday (Student Mass) at 8:45 a.m. - Parents and loved ones are always welcome to join us at Student Mass.
- SMS Spring Concert - 6:00 p.m. in Rand Hall. Join us for some lovely music. An e-mail was sent out to all families with concert details/dress code. Questions regarding the performance should be directed to Bob Thies, bobthies@smsvt.info

Retreat Farm Forestry/Animal Program
We have been working with the Retreat Farm to build a program that will allow our High School students to participate in community based learning. Please be on the look-out for additional info as we incorporate this "Hands on the Land" curriculum for the 17/18 school year.

BEEC - Upcoming Youth Programs
Nature Photo Explorers
June 26 - 30, 9am - 3pm, Ages 12-15
This program will integrate digital photography into nature exploration and discovery, through a collaboration between In-Sight Photography and BEEC. We will use the camera as a lens to investigate the natural world around us. Explorations will take place at unique natural areas around Brattleboro, including woodland, aquatic and mountain adventures. Read more.

for ages 4 - 15
A new program each week!
Our goal is to foster children's love of nature in a safe, supportive environment. Campers spend most of each day outdoors, in small groups, exploring the forests and meadows. Learn more here.
