STAFFING for Next Year - I know you are waiting!
This is the time of the year when urban myths appear as you try to predict next year's staffing. You would be so surprised at how creative these myths turn out to be. Obviously there will be small changes since you are able to look at grade levels and know that the number of units that are needed based on classes.
Just to keep you up to date, at this time we are staying focused on supporting teachers and students and will share our plan after the May administration of STAAR. It is our job to grow teachers and know that some of you desire to apply for new opportunities! Please let me know if you apply for another position so that when they call for a reference I will be ready to brag on you!
When people have asked about changes for next year, my consistent response has been "It is my goal to move as few people as possible". This is still the case. All of the staffing decisions are made based on the needs of students and the skills and talents of our teachers. If you have specific questions about next year, please ask! If I plan to ask you to make a "big" move, we will meet about that change ahead of time, so please do not stress.
Thank you for staying focused on loving and teaching our students.
Have a wonderful weekend.
