Timberwolf Care Team Weekly Newsletter - Issue 7- May 8
Dear Timberwolf Families,
As many of you have expected, the Governor has closed schools for the remainder of this school year. The announcement means our teachers will continue to support your children through distance and virtual learning until the end of the school year. This touches us greatly, we miss our beloved students.
In order to support our students, we are excited to continue our online virtual Google Meet sessions with their teachers. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with their peers and for teachers to offer support with assignments in ELA and Math. If you would like your child to participate, please contact your child's teacher for their Google Meet times.
Together in heart and mind,
The Timberwolf Care Team

THE TUSCARORA COUNSELOR CORNER
A Message From Our Counselors
Dear Timberwolf Guardians and Parents,
During this time in our country it is hard for caregivers and children to do everything that needs to be done. Coronavirus parenting and distance learning takes its toll on everyone in the home. This week we have included two resources to help you recognize and talk about the family’s feelings. Below is a slide show that talks about The Zones of Regulation. This is a way to help your children to identify and understand their emotions. This week we have included some information from the Child Mind Institute that has some helpful tips for caregivers on how to help themselves deal with their emotions and strive to maintain positive family dynamics during these demanding times. Parents and guardians are being asked to do many jobs in the home right now and you need support, too. Please reach out to the school staff if we can help in any way.
Please reach out to us on our emails if you have other needs. kathleen.leber@fcps.org and marisha.leber@fcps.org
Missing all of you,
Mrs. Kathy Leber (school counselor) and Mrs. Marisha Leber (behavior support specialist)
