Emperor Penguins

Emperor Penguins are one of the many species of birds in Antarctica. They have black heads and beaks along with orange and yellow on the back of their heads. they have white bodies and black backs.

When breeding, all Emperor Penguins travel 700 miles from the sea to the breeding point. They eat as much as they can to prepare for the long waddle. They walk in large packs so no one gets lost. When they are tired of walking, they slide on their bellies and kick their feet to keep the pace up.

As they get closer, they sometimes lose their way, but eventually they find it again. As they finally reach the destination, there are hundreds of packs waiting to find a mate. It takes a few weeks, but everyone finds one.
