BECS Parent Newsletter
February 11, 2022
Dear Hawk Families:
It was another great week at BECS where students participated in Random Acts of Kindness week planned by our Principal Advisory Council student group. Students learned how engaging in acts of kindness could improve their physical and emotional well-being, their connections with others and the overall climate and culture of the school. Events included completing an act of kindness from our kindness cards, showing kindness to support staff, kindness connections with a buddy classroom, and notes of gratitude. We are so proud of the many students who engaged in thoughtful, kind acts this week.
Our Learning Cycle Break begins February 14th with students returning to school on Tuesday, February 22nd. During this time our front office will be closed to the public. We hope you enjoy time together with your family and look forward to seeing students when they return. Trimester 3 will begin on February 22nd. Student grades for Trimester 2 will be finalized by February 25th and available through Infinite Campus’s Parent Portal.

COVID Update
Vicki Miller is our site COVID coordinator. Please contact her at vmiller@bromleyeastcs.org with any COVID-related questions.
When you report a POSITIVE Covid test result you still need to fill out the health screener and send in a copy of the test result to VMiller@Bromleyeastcs.org
If your child shows signs of illness, please keep them home and complete the Health Screen. You do NOT need to call the attendance line to excuse your child.
If you have good reason to believe your child has been exposed and you have them tested, please send in those test results, either positive or negative, to Vicki Miller (vmiller@bromleyeastcs.org).
Having your child’s vaccination card on file speeds up the process should your child have a COVID exposure or become positive. Please continue sending vaccination cards to Vicki Miller.
With so many families continuing to struggle in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to remind you that Clothes To Kids of Denver is here to help. Students ages 3-21 (enrolled in preschool-12th grade or pursuing a GED) can visit every four months as long as they meet our basic eligibility requirements.
