Principal's Message
Dear Students and Families,
Thank you to the Seniors, families, and staff who made our cap and gown pick up a fun celebration of the Class of 2020! Many seniors dressed up in costumes, including an entire family dressed up as Mario Cart characters.
The changes we have experienced this spring has pushed all of us to be resourceful, creative, and flexible in all areas of our life. Believe it or not, we're at the halfway point from the time teachers began offering remote learning lessons to the last day of school. It's important for students to continue to progress in their learning and now is an opportune time for parents/guardians to set aside time for a progress review with their child(ren). Review updates for each class in StudentVue/ParentVue gradebook, navigate Canvas together, and ask your child what they've learned about themselves as a learner over the past six weeks. Ask what support do they need from teachers or at home? If extra help is needed from school, help your student write emails to their counselor, teacher, or even me. We are here to help. It's important for students to have good momentum over the remaining five weeks of the school year and appreciate your efforts at home.
Wishing you good health and balance,
Jill O'Neill, Principal
Class of 2020 Valedictorian & Salutatorian - Congratulations!

Culture Shock 2020
Several months ago, Oregon Episcopal School reached out to invite ISB to participate in their annual Culture Shock conference. With the Stay Home, Save Lives restrictions, their plans necessarily had to shift away from a conference. OES students and staff asked themselves how might we repurpose the keynote that Aisha Fukushima was going to give at Culture Shock? The result is this collaborative piece created by the students and Aisha -- Culture Shock 2020: A Virtual Adaptation. Culture Shock 2020: A Virtual Adaptation is a call to action that comes at a time when we may need to be inspired, challenged, and activated. OES has invited us to share it with the ISB community through May 18, 2020.
