Rock the School House
On Saturday, November 10, Mounds View District staff, parents, and community leaders will gather at Vadnais Heights Commons from 6 – 11 p.m. for a fun evening including a live and silent auction, fund-a-need and the always lively wine and spirits toss. In addition, the evening will showcase performances from Mounds View students displaying the very best of their musical talents.
We are excited about the opportunity for more guests this year as tables will now seat 10. Your ticket purchase includes heavy appetizers and great entertainment. There will be a cash bar offering beer, wine and mixed drinks. Click here for additional event information.
Food Shelf Volunteer Opportunities
Ralph Reeder Food Shelf needs a few food rescue volunteers to pick up at Trader Joe's Shoreview at 9:00 am on Wednesdays and then deliver the food to them at the food shelf. Van, larger car or SUV works best and ability to lift up to 30 pounds. They are looking for a regular Wednesday volunteers and volunteers to fill in when regular volunteers are unable to be there.

Word's Largest Game of Freeze Tag
Playworks has been working with a committee of Mounds View parents to put together a district-wide event, celebrating the whole community's dedication to safe and healthy play for all students. The event is called "We Play Together" and will take place on Saturday, October 27 at the Mounds View High School Stadium. During the event they are hoping to put together the world's largest game of freeze tag. Learn more here.

Music of the Knight
Join these Valentine Hills alumni for Irondale’s 26th Annual Music of the Knight on September 29. This competitive field show, beginning at 5 p.m., is a spectacular combination of music, marching, movement and visual. The day includes 13 marching bands and concludes with the Marching Knights in exhibition performing their 2018 show “The Most Astounding Fact.” Tickets available at the gate: $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (60+)/K-12 students and free for preschool. Parking is limited but off-site parking lots at Edgewood & Sunnyside are served by shuttles. In case of rain, the show will move indoors. Visit www.irondalebands.org for more information.
