Reception for Elementary Art Show
Each Fall, all Rock Hill School District 3 Elementary Schools participate in an Elementary Art Exhibit at the Center for the Arts in Downtown Rock Hill. This year’s submission by Mount Holly Elementary is a compilation of Fourth and Fifth grade drawings of insects, from observation. While we have many talented artists and a wide selection of awesome drawings, our space for display is limited.
Congratulations to the following students whose work has been selected to represent our school: Jaylen Ramirez, Jackson Ludlam, Eli Sanders, Adelyn Parker, Caden Gibson, Leila Dittenhoefer, Lucas Blanton, Kamorien Dunham, Shyla Wingo, Ava McDaniel, Jaysie Gonzalez, Brody Bemis, Cooper Robinson, Tatiana Perez, Carson Smith, Karl Burg, Maggie Miner, Ashley Dover, Addison Thomas, and Paige Robinson
The show will run from September 13 through October 27. The reception was held yesterday at the Center for the Arts Downtown.
SPOTLIGHT ON RELATED ARTS
ART CLASS - Ms. Kim Ham
Everyone needs practice on cutting skills; but it’s especially challenging for kindergarten students. We have moved from painting to cutting skills and are creating our own collages inspired by the wonderful books by author and illustrator, Eric Carle.

WALK AT SCHOOL DAY
NOVEMBER 1, 2019
Mount Holly Elementary School will be celebrating International Walk to School Day on Friday, November 1, 2019. We will be having the event at school during your child’s special area classes since we don’t have any students that walk to our school. Our celebration is going to be about Fitness and trying to keep your children active EVERYDAY! We will be trying to successfully complete 825 miles total as a school, so please encourage your children to wear tennis shoes and dress appropriately for walking outdoors! You are more than welcome to come and walk with your child during their special area time on this day (see bottom for list of times). For more information on International Walk to School Day, visit http://www.SCsaferoutes.org .
