ESC Governing Board Received GOLD RATING
The Madison-Champaign ESC Governing Board received a Gold Rating as an Effective Board from the Ohio School Board’s Association (OSBA) Southwest Region. The Board received this award based on meeting the best practice standards established by OSBA. Governing Board Vice-President, Jeff Burroughs accepted the award on behalf of the rest of the members at the Southwest Region’s Spring Conference held on March 12th.
Also in our service area the Graham Local Board of Education received a Silver Rating for their collective work on behalf of their district. Graham Treasurer (and former ESC Treasurer) Judy Geers received the distinction of being named Treasurer of the Year in the Southwest Region.

Driving Prep Course
The Driving Prep Course- which will be available for use by teachers in the school districts, is a course aimed to prepare students for the written driving exam. The course is broken down into 5 modules and various hands-on activities to teach the material included in the Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws manual.
This course includes:
· Tabletop simulations and scenario cards
· Road sign matching cards with various levels
· Other hands-on games and matching activities
· PowerPoints of each module organizing the important material in the driving manual
· Practice tests for each module
· Pre/Post test for the course
This prep course has been made possible by the Training for LIFE Grant.
