Excited to announce:

Bang PTO spring fundraiser is a Read-a-thon this year!

Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.

Our Read-a-thon starts Tuesday March 1, 2022.

About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.

We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking on and following the simple instructions.

We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.

We hope EVERYONE participates.

Words from the Nurse

During this heat and humidity, there is an increase in nose bleeds. Bleeding from the nose occurs when a blood vessel ruptures from sneezing, picking or blowing the nose. Another potential cause can be from the mucus membranes of the nose drying out. If the nose bleed occurs following a head injury, please seek medical attention. When the bleeding occurs encourage the person to keep their head forward not leaning it back. Pressure needs to be applied to the nose to help the bleeding to stop. Hold the pressure for ten minutes asking the person to remain quiet, no spitting, coughing or sniffing. If the person leans their back during the bleeding, the person may experience nausea or even vomiting of blood. Instruct the person to not blow or pick their nose for seven hours as bleeding can reoccur
