HFRCS Newsletter Summer Edition
August 16, 2022 - Vol.1 Issue 47
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe that the countdown to the new school year is upon us! I hope that everyone has enjoyed (and continues to enjoy!) a very safe and fun summer!
Over the summer we have been pleased to have many updates to our building and classrooms! This past weekend, our Home and School volunteers, with the guidance of our art teacher, Ms. Quinlan, began painting on the concrete behind the school, games for students to play during recess. This includes a framework for the basketball net, hopscotch, and four-square games. This is a project in process, so stay tuned for more details! Many thanks to Ms. Quinlan and the H&S team for their generous donation of time and talent!
Next week, we will be receiving new desks and chairs for every classroom! Thanks to the tireless efforts of Mr. Chuck and Miss Loretta, our classrooms are sparkling and gleaming, so the new desks will make everything seem brand new! And once our amazing teachers add their personal touch, the classrooms will be good to go for a brand-new school year!
As you will read further in this newsletter, we will be saying goodbye to Jim Downey as our Enrollment Director at the end of this month. Jim has done a wonderful job greeting new families and bringing new students to Holy Family. Fortunately for us, Jim’s sister Regan, has been training with us here for the past 6 months, learning the ropes, tagging along on school tours, meeting new families, and familiarizing herself with the processes in the main office. Learn more about Regan in this newsletter. So, while we are sad to say goodbye to Jim, we know that he has left us in good hands with his sister, whom he has trained himself! We are grateful to Jim for all his time here at Holy Family, and we wish him the very best in his new endeavors. Also, congratulations are in order as Jim just became engaged this past Sunday! Best wishes, Jim!
Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for our Teacher Meet and Greet for grades 1-8 on September 6 at 2:00, and our Teacher Orientations for PK and Kindergarten on September 7-9. More details on Orientations are listed in this email. Next week we plan to share information on the new faces you will see at Holy Family this year! Class assignments will be available the last week of August.
May God continue to bless our teachers and families.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty

Enrollment Office News: Keeping it in the Family!
Good luck, Mr. Downey!
I'd like to take this opportunity to let our school families know that I will be leaving my role as Holy Family's Enrollment Director at the end of this summer. I've had a wonderful time getting to know our families and am so privileged to have worked alongside the school's incredible faculty and staff. While I look forward to my next challenge, I am sure that Holy Family Regional Catholic School will remain close to my heart. Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful community and I wish you all the best for the 2022-23 school year and beyond!
