Weekly Update

Huge Celebrations at Lyon!

Literacy: After collecting 3rd quarter data:

  • All six grade levels had less than 5% below basic in the area of writing

  • Four out of six grade levels have at least 80% of their students writing at a proficient or advanced level

Numeracy: After collecting 3rd quarter data:

  • Three of six grade levels had 5% or below of their students at a below basic level on all 3rd quarter math standards

  • Four of six grade levels had over 80% of their students scoring at the proficient or advanced level

Attendance: Lyon counselors and special class teachers created a 5 tier plan for our attendance concerns and we will begin implementing the interventions in a more systematic way.

  • Lyon counselors have identified 32 students with attendance below 90%

  • Of those 32, seven students are in tier 4 and 5. Of those 7, two had extended hospital stays.

  • 3-5, your window is closed, if you missed window this was totally MY FAULT. Please plan accordingly with grade level team to assure you make it a "common" assessment, window WAS 3/28-4/1, in SIS by 4/25.
