Enjoy the Break

As we move into our final 8 weeks after spring break, I want to encourage everyone to stop and take a deep breath. We have had quite a year together! Throughout the many struggles and successes, I know we have all done our best to face the challenges this school year has brought. So for the next week, try to find some downtime, some time to take walks, play games, and connect with your middle schooler. Enjoy this time off together. When we return, we still have some hard work to do to get to the finish line!

Enjoy the break!

Tim

Revised Calendar 2021-2022; Approved Calendar 2022-2023

The Board of Education revised the District 2021-2022 calendar and approved the 2022-2023 calendar at Monday night's meeting. The changes in the calendar for next year are that the institute day that was previously scheduled for February 25 is now scheduled for March 4 and the former half-day parent conference in the spring for PreK-5 is now a regular day of school. The institute day was moved by the county since the D303 calendar was first adopted. Here is a link to those calendars.

8th Grade End-of-the-Year Celebration:

We have had some parents inquire if we are going to have an 8th-grade celebration. Absolutely! We are working with our PTO, along with our partners at TMS, to make sure we have an end-of-the-year celebration for our 8th graders. Check back in future editions of the Friday Forecast for more details. We will have further information available closer to the end of the school year.

5 Reminders for After School Pick Up

Just a reminder to parents...

  1. You need to pick up kids at the Norris Center parking lot after school, not off the Dunham Road driveway, Kirk Rd, or Fox Chase Blvd roadways.

  2. Go slowly and be aware of all students and cars in the lots, crossing the roadways.

  3. You need to pull into a parking space in the Norris lot.

  4. Please follow all posted signs and arrows.

  5. Parents may NOT pick-up students from our back parking lot without permission from Mr. Loversky (ex. due to injury). They will receive a pass for this purpose. We have too many smaller buses trying to pick up students from this area.

Thank you,

Tim

Attention 6th, 7th and 8th Graders:

Cheer will be starting right after Spring Break. If you are interested, please plan on attending one of the two virtual informational meetings scheduled for:

If you think you won’t be able to attend one of the meetings, stop in the main office and talk to Mrs. Johnson. Look for the google meet link in either the Friday Forecast of in the Daily Announcements. Hope to see you there.
