A note from Sue O'Brien

Welcome to March!

I am back from my trip to South Carolina! I really enjoyed my trip and was blessed with safe travels. I enjoyed a week away from snow and it was nice to see a few flowers blooming and warmer temperatures. The weather was in the upper 50's for most of the week with a 73 degree day last Sunday! My grand daughter was fun and she has a unbelievable imagination! She likes to pretend play, do science activities, go to the library and we visited the Children's Museum in downtown Greenville. I saw a couple ideas for our sensory room while at the museum and plan to share ideas with our Kettering student volunteers for future projects.

This Friday is a professional development day! We have a schedule that will be out on Monday March 10th. There will be CPR, CPI make-up, Multicultural Potluck from 12 to 1pm. Each classroom will receive a form from Jenny and Julie to be completed on the 14th for your activity materials set- up needs etc. This form will be emailed out as well. Becky Zajac who is our VI consultant will be holding a professional development from 8:30 to 10:30 at Davis Ed. about the National Library Service and how students qualify for services that cannot hold a book or turn pages. I would like to send a group of staff from MCIC to Davis Ed. for that. Contact me if you are interested in attending. More info to come on that as well. Classroom teams please discuss Friday the 14th during your Tuesday morning classroom and department meetings.
