December 21, 2015
As we count the hours down until we leave for Winter break, I find myself very thankful for all that you do for the students you work with on a daily basis. The holiday season remains one of those special times of the year when we can take a break from our non-stop busy lives to enjoy quality time with friends and family. Take time for yourself over the break to recharge your batteries and reflect on all that we have already accomplished thus far this year.
We have much to celebrate and at the same time embrace many additional opportunities for even more growth for the remainder of the year. Thank you for being top notch professionals who inspire students to be the best they can be by translating their potential into successful lifetime skills. I realize that we are entrusted with the ultimate responsibility, the education of our children. I am justifiably proud of each of you who motivate students to develop a consistent work ethic and achieve their goals.
Have a joyous break.

Goodbye Message from Mrs. O'Reilly
To my Newtown Family,
I want to thank you for your kind thoughts, the plant and gift card. I will always remember fondly the friends I’ve made over the last 8 years. I will miss seeing you all every day and I will miss the children. I wish all of you the very best as you go through your teaching career. Teaching has changed enormously since I started 40 years ago. When I started a record player was the most modern piece of technology in the room. Now look we have laptops, iPads, Facebook, Twitter, and email. What’s next?
I am moving on to the next chapter of my life and looking forward to being able to spend more time with my family.
Thank you again for all of your kindness and support you have given me. Best wishes to all of you for a long and fulfilling career.
~Thank you to Ms. Simpson and the Growing Leaders for helping to organize the canned food drive! They made daily announcements to remind students to bring in cans of food and they collected them daily and put them in the baskets. You helped make it a great success! We truly appreciate you!
~Thank you to everyone who helped cover classes so teachers could go do learning walks at Tallwood Elementary. Your flexibility and willing to work together was very helpful! -Dr. Sedory
~Thank you everyone who supplied treats for the Cookies & Cocoa party today! - Heather Messick
