Washington Families!
Greetings from Girl Scout Troop #600!
We are participating in the Warm Hearts Toasty Toes sock drive again this year to help those in need during this cold time of year.
During the week after Thanksgiving we will have a collection box in the main hall at Washington Elementary. We would greatly appreciate any donations you can make of NEW socks, the warmer the better! Socks are needed for everyone, children, women and men.
If you are out doing some holiday shopping during the days after Thanksgiving please consider purchasing a few extra pairs of socks to donate to those in need. Fred Meyer will have socks for ½ off during the post-Thanksgiving sale. We’re certain lots of other retailers will have similar sales.
Last year the Warm Hearts Toasty Toes sock drive collected more than 10,000 pairs of socks and delivered them Big Brothers, Big Sisters of SW Idaho, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County, the Women’s and Children’s Alliance and the Boise Veterans Administration homeless program.
Thank you for your generosity and helping to spread some warmth during the holiday season!
