#TeamHarv Scouting Report
Week of April 25 - April 29
Life Principle of the Week

The Week in Review
In Science this week we did a quick review of plants, their life cycle, parts, importance to our planet, and more! Each student completed a series of smaller assignments that reviewed the parts of a plant, it's life cycle, and adaptations that allow it to survive in it's habitat. Then, students got to choose any plant to further research, before diving into a research project to share with the class.
In Social Studies, we completed our Amendment projects and presented those on Wednesday. Each class voted to remove one Amendment from the Bill of Rights.
5A voted out the 3rd Amendment, which protects private homeowners from having the military take over their home to house soldiers.
5B voted out the 8th Amendment, which insures that the punishments for crimes are not excessive, cruel, or unusual.
5E voted out the 7th Amendment, which protects the right to a trial by jury in civil court cases.
Their defenses for the amendments being included in the Bill of Rights were great and their mini-posters were awesome! Check them out below!
