Lanyards and IDs

This year we have implemented colored lanyards for each grade level. This is to better identify students in the hallway.

  • Freshman - Red Lanyards
  • Sophomores - Blue Lanyards
  • Juniors - Green Lanyards
  • Seniors - Black Lanyards

It is imperative students wear the designated lanyards with their ID at all times. Students will scan their IDs during lunch, instead of using a lunch pin. As a reminder, ALL students will receive free breakfast and lunch. Ala carte items and extra lunches will be charged to the student's account.

Attendance Information

Below is a letter to assist parents and guardians with attendance questions and concerns.

Meet the Teacher/Warrior After Hours

Wednesday, Aug. 14th, 6-8:15pm

9500 East 16th Street

Indianapolis, IN

We are excited to announce that this year Meet the Teacher (Back to School Night) and Warrior After Hours will be on the same evening. Parents are encouraged to attend and follow their student's schedule, starting at 6pm. As you pass through the Commons, stop by Warrior After Hours to find out more about the clubs, activities, and organizations that are offered for your student at Warren Central High School.

Meet Lainey

We are excited to be introducing, Lainey, Warren Central’s new facility dog to our school community. Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, Lainey will be a resident of our Counseling Service Center to assist students who are struggling to deal with emotional, stressful, behavioral, or attendance issues. Lainey is going to be a positive contribution to the social and emotional health of our students and staff. She comes to us from Indiana Canine Assistance Network (ICAN).

If your student has a dog allergy, please communicate this to Brad Morgan, Director of Counseling and Lainey's handler during school hours, at bmorgan1@warren.k12.in.us, so that we can keep your child safe and healthy. She will wear her working clothes and be on the leash at all times. Lainey will sometimes be in the halls but will never be at lunch to keep those students healthy as well. Students, and adults, who may have a fear of dogs will never be forced to interact with her. She will also frequent the groomer and/or veterinarian to reduce the amount of allergens with which students may come into contact.

We are overwhelmed at the positive response we have received from so many people in our community. If you would like to know more about how you can help support Lainey, please contact our school Media Specialist, Mrs. Diane Rupert at DRupert@warren.k12.in.us for more information.
