The Skipper Scoop
Week of November 15th
SKIPPER NATION
The week is starting out in the perfect way! The Design Lab has been awarded $700.00 from Lyondell for their upcoming bottle rocket project. More to come about this great project. Also, winter sports are moving full steam ahead. Come out and show support for your favorite athletes this week. Family feud was fun on Friday night. Congrats to team Yaussy and friends for the first place win. Team Rumbarger/Hoge took 3rd! I hope you had a good weekend and got to spend time with family and friends.

Holiday concert
Join us for Harding Middle and High School holiday concert. Intermediate band will perform first, followed by high school. Hope to see you there. December 12th @7PM.
Waiver Day
Last Tuesday's Waiver day was very productive for the Harding staff. The teachers worked in cross curricular groups with the goal of developing Personalized Learning pathways for kids this spring. I look forward to sharing with you the projects they implement.
Model United Nations
Mr Hlousek took some kids to the Model United Nations program this week. Model UN is an experiential learning model which provides a forum to work on diplomacy, negotiation, compromise, and public speaking.
Fish Fry
The third annual fish fry and salsa sale were last Monday night at the Fairport senior Center. Much fun was had by all and the fish was amazing. Thanks to our teachers, administrators, and kids for all their hard work. From fishing to frying!
Fall Clean Up
Mrs. Knight took her English students over to the Senior Center for a fall clean up. This was in conjunction with the "Stop the Hate" essay for the Maltz Museum. The kiddos raked leaves, washed windows, and cleaned up the grounds. Thanks to Chris Yano for hosting the kids and Mrs Knight for providing the opportunity. A special shout out to Zane Malkimaki for getting the spider webs!
