Big Island Rendezvous

Today at school, were going on a field trip to Big Island Rendezvous. The parents came and Then we left on the bus. We rode the bus all the way up to Albert Lea MN. then finally, we got there.

First we went to a guy who told us about the 1812 war. The USA and Canada were fighting along time because Canada wanted to be it’s own separate country so they don’t have to pay America's taxes. Then we went to a lady who told us what being a servant means. She said that you get food and a home when you serve. After that we came to a place and saw a stage coach and a man a his wife told us about something that happened in the late 1800’s. People were trying to attack the stage coach and they had to go faster because the men were on horse back. It was lunch time after that.

I ate my lunch really fast because next was shopping. Finally shopping time. I thought. We looked at tons of booths and saw really cool things. I saw animal skins and necklaces, rabbit feet and bracelets. I even saw a birthstone ring for only $1. Of course I bought it. I also got a marble that has a dead bug in it, ( it was for my brother’s b-day!) and a dragon’s tear. I was going to get a dreamcatcher but it was too expensive.

Then we got on the bus that took us back to school. Ms. Christensen told us that we couldn’t bring electronics so the ride was boring, until……… “Nobody likes you!” someone shouted. Then the person who was sitting beside me started crying. What is going on! I thought. Something is happening and I don’t know what it is! She kept crying until the bus stopped and then she went to the front to tell the teacher. Ms. Christensen wasn’t there and Mrs. Rimann was subbing. We finally got to school and I thought, That was really an interesting field trip!
