What's Going On At #FAPBG-Weeks of December 3, 2018

Weekly Wrap Up and Updates

We hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving Break and an awesome week back. This semester is flying by and we have so much fun left to pack in! Mr. Johnson will be hosting our Winter Band and Chorus Concert this Thursday at 6:30 PM. We will also have a Parents' Night Out this coming Friday (see flyer and information below), several soccer and basketball games, and a dress down day on the 14th. You can pay for the dress down day by check or via https://businessmanagerpbg.wufoo.com/forms/dress-down-days/.

Our students will be beginning the second round of iReady diagnostics this coming week. These assessments give us extremely valuable insight into not only your child's current levels of performance, but also the progress they've made so far this year. Please encourage your students to take these assessments seriously and perform their best. It's a perfect opportunity for them to "show what they know"!

Breakfast, Lunch, and SNACK??

Our SLA breakfasts and lunches have been a huge hit! Middle school also has the opportunity to purchase snack after their lunch each day, and beginning next week, elementary school students can purchase a fresh-baked cookie one day a week! Cookies are $1 and are purchased only through the student's lunch account. Students with a negative balance are not permitted to buy snack or cookies.

If your child hasn't tried our school breakfast or lunch yet, what are you waiting for? Check out this month's lunch menu in the picture above and set up your child's lunch account today!

Service Hours

There are only 3 weeks left in the first semester! All families should have at least half of your eight service hours completed for the year. If you did not complete you 17-18 service requirement, your student(s) began the year restricted from participating in any extra-curricular activities until you satisfied half of this year's required hours. If this applies to you and you do not complete 50% of your 18-19 annual requirement by the end of the 1st semester, the restriction cannot be released for the remainder of the school year, regardless of the number of hours you eventually perform. This will mean your student cannot participate in any end of year activities, graduations, and/or field trips.

Please be sure you have completed 4 hours by December 21st.
